So, are you feeling like you don’t know where to start or that you’re already overwhelmed even though the planning has just begun?

Twin Cities Wedding Venues
We photographed Jalen & Luke’s engagement portraits at Hewing Hotel and fell in love with the space! Not only does it have a beautifully industrial feeling, but offers a stunning view of the Minneapolis skyline. What else could you ask for in this venue located in North Loop Minneapolis? They offer a few different sized spaces so regardless of your wedding guest list, you’ll find the space comfortable for your wedding in this old warehouse. They are also pet-friendly so bring your furry friends along too!
PAIKKA, a modern and industrial event center located in St. Paul, is the perfect wedding venue. While previously an old mattress factory, this venue is able to help all of your wedding dreams come true! PAIKKA is also owned and directed by three kickass ladies, which means booking PAIKKA also means supporting a women-owned business!
Machine Shop is located in the St. Anthony neighborhood of Minneapolis. It was once a warehouse for machinery used by the Pillsbury A-Mill, located on the very same block. If you’re familiar with the Twin Cities, you know that this area is filled with plenty of outdoor photo locations among these historic buildings. As with many of the historic venues in the Twin Cities, Machine Shop highlights exposed brick, industrial beams, and large elegant windows. Check out more photos from the area from Jess & Jeremy’s engagement session, Krissy & Ricky engagement session, and Ali & Kevin’s engagement session!
Located in North Loop Minneapolis, Aria Event Center features exposed brick, 30 ft vaulted ceilings (WOW), and the perfect setting for modern elegance for your wedding. Along with a beautiful indoor setting, many great photography locations are within walking distance - like little alleys and parking lots like this!
Say your vows at one of the most historically significant locations in Minnesota - Mill City Museum, a National Historic Landmark. The Washburn A Flour Mill ruins make the perfect romantic, modern, and industrial location for your wedding. It is also just steps away from the Stone Arch Bridge for even more photos, in the same area as Beth & Sam’s engagement photos!
Other Minnesota Wedding Venes
While these venues are not in Minneapolis or St. Paul, that shouldn't stop you from considering them!
Pinewood is a brand new wedding venue located an hour north of the Twin Cities near Cambridge, MN. Amid the pine forest, a modern venue will be opening in September 2019. They’re already beginning to book up, so if you’re interested in booking, contact them soon! They are also pet-friendly, so bring your pup along for your big day!
We were introduced to Larsmont Cottages in Two Harbors when we photographed Bella & Matt’s intimate wedding last June! If you’re looking for a wedding venue that features a beautiful view of Lake Superior, definitely check out this North Shore gem.
Want your wedding to be modern & elegant? Look no further than The Hutton House in Medicine Lake (only about 10 miles from downtown Minneapolis). The clean, white of this venue will help you complement whatever decor you add to the versatile space.
Stonewall Farms is located in Willmar, MN, about an hour and a half drive from Downtown Minneapolis. While previously a Friesian horse breeding facility, the now wedding venue has hosted many weddings since first opening in 2007. We are obsessed with their Pine Cathedral Ceremony space, located amid the beautiful Scotch Pines forest.
Selecting your wedding venue is one of the very first things you do in the wedding planning process. That means you get to check off a very big task off of your ever-growing to do list early on in your planning. We hope that this post has made your planning a little bit easier!
